Project Abstract

As methods of measuring and understanding the physical world become more sophisticated, the need for interdisciplinary collaboration has increased. In the world of micromechanics, biology and mathematics draw from each other to find solutions and build models of various biological structures or processes.  In this project we explore the possibility of using differential geometry to better understand sensory hair bundles.
