About this Site

Welcome to Lewis & Clark’s Collaborative Research web site!  The site serves to profile student-faculty research and creative activities at the College of Arts and Sciences.

First and foremost, the site is designed to foster awareness of research and creative activities within the College of Arts and Sciences. We hope that the projects profiled on the site will spark the interests of students and encourage them to pursue the many opportunities available for student research at Lewis & Clark.  We also hope that the site facilitates interdisciplinary connections between areas of the College through linkages between projects.

Furthermore, the site is a venue for the wider dissemination of research activities at the College to external audiences including: scholars, prospective students, and the general public.

The initial set of projects on the site includes activities from the Summer 2013 student-faculty research grants. Going forward, the site will represent CAS Summer projects as well as research-intensive courses in the Fall and Spring semesters.

Construction of the site was funded by a generous grant from the Andrew Mellon Foundation.
